Pilar de la Puente

Pilar de la Puente is a scientist who was born in the city of Leon, Spain.

Pilar studied biology at the university of Leon, but since in Spain there isn’t much money to investigate, she travelled to USA because there she could get more tan 1 million dollar to buy material to investigate and to pay the people who work for her. Pilar de la Puente travelled to USA to study her Ph Degree in the University of South Dakota.

Nowadays she is doing research on the cure of cancer but it has very special features: the first characteristic is she does not use animals to investigate and the second one is the fact that she has created a 3D model of the tumor in order to eliminate the tissue more easily.
